Opening the Access to a Unique Facet of 3D Manufacturing

The human arsenal might be as expansive as one could possibly imagine, but it has still never possessed anything more valuable than that tendency of growing on a consistent basis. We say this because the stated tendency has got us to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a rather unique member of the group. The reason why technology’s credentials are so anomalous is, more or less, based on its skill-set, which was unprecedented enough to guide us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, a closer look should be able to reveal how the whole runner was also very much inspired by the way we applied those skills across a real world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence and made it the ultimate centerpiece of every horizon. Now, having such a tool run the show did scale up our experience from all conceivable directions, but even after reaching so far ahead, this prodigious concept called technology will somehow continue to produce the right goods. The same, if anything, has become increasingly evident over the recent past, and truth be told, a newly-announced 3D printing solution can propel that trend to far greater heights moving forward.

3D Systems, a Rock Hill South Carolina-based company, has officially launched a new solution called ProJet® MJP 2500W Plus, which is designed to reimagine the way jewelry manufacturing is done across the globe. As per certain reports, the solution is well-equipped to produce complex, high-quality, pure wax 3D-printed jewelry patterns, and it can do so while simultaneously showcasing a never-seen-before brand of speed and precision. Talk about how the technology achieves such an ambitious goal, it brings a new ZHD print mode into the proceedings, a mode that can improve vertical resolution at an outright twofold clip without spelling an increase around the wax material consumption. This paves the way for a huge economic benefit, considering the surface’s final version is able to deliver a quality which doesn’t require any manual polish; therefore eliminating the potential loss of gold usually caused by the stated labor. Interestingly, the solution is not just helpful in optimizing the operation’s overall economic health, but a reduced need for manual polishing also makes it possible for customers to avail more complex designs.

“The global jewelry additive manufacturing market is estimated at over $2 billion and is growing quickly due to the increased productivity, quality, flexibility, and design freedom enabled by this technology. Today, we’re excited to announce the ProJet MJP 2500W Plus, with increased resolution and productivity that is unmatched in the industry. This innovation allows our customers to deliver exceptional design styles, while reducing pattern production time and operational costs, meeting the demands of a mass-customization environment,” said Scott Anderson, vice president, segment leader at 3D Systems.

Another detail worth a mention here is how the ProJet MJP 2500W Plus leverages VisiJet 100% wax materials to print true-to-CAD and fine feature definition jewelry patterns with exact, razor-sharp edges, all while literally maintaining every single detail. Furthermore, the VisiJet wax plays a significant role here also because of its proven ability to melt like standard casting waxes and leave zero ash content so to ensure defect-free castings.

With the precision aspect fully covered, the solution moves on to dedicate some focus towards managing productivity levels, and there, it claims to scale up throughput by a sizeable 25% compared to other solutions currently available in the market. In order to further build upon that efficiency aspect, 3D Systems is even providing you its 3D Sprint software, which can streamline your entire file-to-pattern workflow.

Founded back in 1986, 3D Systems is today a genuine leader across the 3D printing space. The company’s excellence in what it does can be validated through its clientele that stretches across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, aerospace & defense, automotive, durable goods, and more.
